I met someone affiliated with a motion picture company tonight. He said that he'd get back with me in a few weeks. I don't know how genuine he was, and if he's reading this now I hope that that last statement doesn't offend, but I just have no earthly idea, for real. I think that he appreciated the fact that I'm willing to hit the streets for my art. At least I hope that was why he took the handbill. Don't know if I'll hear from him, but I never would have been in contact with him if I relied solely on things like social media and whatnot.
Like I said, I haven't handed out all that many handbills these last two nights, but I'm sure motivated to get out there again soon enough. I was inspired by a story about Daniel Johnston I read a few years ago that said he did the same kind of thing to promote his early shows. Sure there's some rejection, but it's not like one hundred percent rejection, so I'm very inspired to go out again.
